I have clients booked on Viking Star next March, and glad that Viking hasn't sucommed to the fear and cancelled. I loved Istanbul and Ephesus, would hate to see it removed forever. Brussels this morning demonstrates your point.

Re: Holland America Line Charts A New Course

My favorite Line!!

Re: Disney Announces New Ships For Disney Cruise Line

would be nice to have a disney cruise going out of no fly from ny, new jersy

Re: Renderings Leaked Of New Ship For Virgin Cruises

I agree with that! Let them have the studio-type cabins the way NCL does. I was in one on the new Escape, and there was plenty of room for one, and it was too sweet. Add a Studio-type Lounge and I'll be onboard!

Re: Norwegian Unveils New Campaign, Urging Cruisers To “Feel Free”

I just returned from a cruise aboard the Norwegian Getaway. This is my 10th cruise, 7th with NCL, and I am looking for a NEW cruise line. The hospitality is gone! I didn't seek out this article, it just so happens to have been right in my face. The pendulum has swung so far in the opposite direction that, Not once in 7 days was I offered a drink much less a smile, with the exception of a few staff members. I hope the other Cruise lines don't follow this model or I will be looking for new ways to enjoy a vacation. I spoke to many guests who felt the same way. They couldn't get a drink because of long awful lines or waiting for the server to return. I personally didn't care too much about the drinks but that is just the best example of the guest services you can expect. If you didn't make a reservation 6 weeks or more in advance for dinner or a SHOW forget about it. I have always loved cruising and we are a Gold Tier on NCL. You're "FREE" alright; NO ONE NOTICES YOU’RE ON BOARD. I have always loved cruising for the above and beyond hospitality. I was beyond disappointed. I attempted diligently each day to assume it was just a bad day for some staff...Nope it was 7 days of truly disappointment. I just had to laugh about it because there wasn't any need to be upset. I was stuck unless I wanted to jump ship, which I thought seriously about doing. I thought very serious about staying on one of the islands for a week then flying home. Well, I'm off now and I'm planning on jumping ship! If anyone knows of a cruise line that still has wonderful guest services please respond so I can check them out. I was given lots of good feedback from other disappointed passengers on the Norwegian Getaway about Royal Caribbean. Anyone have any feedback on that cruise line? Would love to know! I hope others provide feedback to NCL because while on ship I heard so many people complain and that isn't the norm! I will say our room steward was a great asset!

Re: Terror Shouldn’t Stop Us From Traveling

Here, here, Mike! Most if not all of the rooms on the Love Boat had room for a couch and chair. I've been on two cruises and there was barely enough room for the beds. In today's comparison you'd have to compare them to suites, not the standard rooms most passengers get.

Re: Royal Caribbean or P&O?

Tipping isn't optional on RC, we've cruised 3 times with them and it's added on. What is optional is extra tipping at the end of the cruise if anyone went above and beyond. I wasn't keen on Princess Cruises.
